Control-Center

You need the control-center (PCagent.exe) only to Configure as well as to open Records and to Uninstall. Afterwards, you can close the control-center and remove from the monitored computer. If the monitoring process was started, he runs without the control-center. The best way, copy the control-center onto a change data medium (e.g., diskette, flash card, USB flash drives). Click as first on Configure.

Configure

The installation of the monitoring process is executed automatically with the first click of Configure. Click on Start to start to the monitoring process. Now you can make any changes in the configuration, e.g. configuration to send of the log-files. The changed configurations becomes first effective by a click on Apply. To use the new settings the monitoring process is stopped, if necessary and afterwards started again.

Records

Don't send log-files (store local)
If in the Configuration the option Don't send log-files under Send is chosen, the log-files are stored sorted by user names and time and listed under Local log-files in Records. This log-files can be opened by double click, if the control-center started on the monitored computer. Choose a suitable entry under Local log-files (on the left side) and open this with a double click.

Send log-files
If the option NOT chosen Don't send log-files under Send, the records are stored first in the Main memory-file (1). As soon as the predefined value of the log-file size or the predefined time is reached, the records are moved in the Next log-file to send (2) and sent.

If the control-center started on the monitored computer, the Main memory-file (1) and the Next log-file to send (2) can be opened.

The sent log-files has the file extension *.pca and can be opened by double click or by drag (Drag&Drop) on the program window of the control-center or the separate log-file viewer.

Uninstall
To uninstall the monitoring process, click on Uninstall in the main menu of the control center. The complete monitoring process will be uninstalled and the control center be closed. Afterwards if necessary the computer must be restarted. Please notice, that it does not be sufficient to delete the control-center. The monitoring process can only be uninstalled by the control-center (PCagent.exe). The control-center can be downloaded on the download page.
