Monitoring Software and Keylogger to invisible Monitor and Record

PC Agent makes it possible for you to monitor and record user activities unnoticed and store this in log-files. This log-files are fully searchable for specific keywords and can be send compressed and encrypted to a shared resource in the network, to a FTP account or to a predefined email address.    Sends log-files to a predefined email address

If the option Send log-files to a email address under Send is chosen (1), the log-files are send as attached-file to a predefined email address as soon as the predefined value of the log-file size size or the predefined time is reached and a connection exist to the Internet.

Enter the email address (2), the matching SMTP server (outgoing mail server) (3) as well as the user name (4) and password (5) to the account. Settings to send of the log-files can be tested with one click (6).

In case you don't know the name of the SMTP server, ask your email provider or click on "Find SMTP server". In this case it is searched for so-called relay-servers. Please, notice that these relay servers can change at times. Therefore, use as far as possible the officially SMTP server of your email provider.

In special cases it is necessary to define a different port. This is, e.g. the case if the standard SMTP port (25) cannot be used. Enter the SMTP server and port separated by a colon ( : ) (e.g.: "mail.server.net:587"). Alternative ports of the SMTP protocol are most 465 and 587. The last one, mostly used in combination with SSL/TLS encrypted connections.

Some SMTP servers uses the so-called "POP3 first" and therefore need a "POP3-authentication" (7), before send emails. In this case activate "POP3-authentication" and enter the POP3 server of your email provider.

Emails can also be sent over proxy server. In this case activate "Proxy Server" (8) and enter the IP-address or the name of the proxy Servers, as well as the port. Please, notice that some email providers don't accept proxy-connections.

To redirect the email-protection function in some virus scanners and firewalls it is recommended to use the OpenSSL implementation. The emails are automatically sent with SSL/TLS encryption. See OpenSSL implementation for PC Agent

Note:
- Web based email provider e.g. Hotmail are not supported.
- By using a SMTP Server within a network, the name of the SMTP Server must (perhaps) declared as IP-address.
- In case the Under cover mode is not activated, as well as in some special cases, some settings must be changed in your firewall.

The records are stored first in the Main memory-file (1). As soon as the predefined value of the log-file size or the predefined time is reached, the records are moved in the Next log-file to send (2) and sent. If the control-center started on the monitored computer, the Main memory-file (1) and the Next log-file to send (2) can be opened.

The sent log-files have the file extension *.pca and can be opened by double click or by drag on the program window (Drag&Drop), if the control-center exists on the computer and already once started or the separate log-file viewer to open of PC Agent log-files is installed.
