The records will be sent as attachment to the email address, as soon as the predefined value for the size of the files is reached or a predefined time and the SMTP server is reachable.
The following settings are required:
- Email address
The records will be sent to this email address.
- SMTP server
The SMTP server (outgoing mail server) for the email address. In case you don't know the name of the SMTP server, please ask your email provider or click on the button next to it. In this case the control-center will try to find so-called relay servers. Please note that this relay servers can change from time to time or are not accessible from dynamic IP addresses. Please use whenever possible the officially specified SMTP server of the email provider. The used ports are 587, 465 or 25. If the server is accessible on a different port or should be used explicitly a specific port, enter the port separated by a colon (:) like mail.server.net:999.
- User
The user name to the email account.
- Password
The password to the email account.
The files have the extension *.pca and can be opened with the control-center or the PC Agent Viewer.
The following settings are optional:
POP3 authentication
Some email providers requires a POP3 authentication before the email can be send. In this case activate the POP3 authentication and enter the POP3 server. The used ports are 110 or 995. If the server is accessible on a different port or should be used explicitly a specific port, enter the port separated by a colon (:) like mail.server.net:999.
Explicit encryption
The connection to the server is encrypted, if the server supports it. Otherwise, the connection is unencrypted. If the "Explicit encryption" is activated, the connection is encrypted only. If the "Explicit encryption" is activated and the server not support encryption, the records can not be sent.
Check for Internet connection
If the standard connection is a dialup connection, it is possible that the dial-up dialog is displayed, if an Internet connection should be established. To avoid this, enable this option.
